Saturdays at The Enchanted Child shop in Balnarring is a lot about people rushing in to buy last minute kids birthday presents. We open the door at 10am and 9/10 times there’s someone waiting to come in and buy a birthday present on their way to a party that very day.

I’ve given a lot of thought to what people want and figure that most people would like to spend between $15 – $25 on a birthday party gift. They want that present that’s different from the run of the mill toys. They want a cute card, they want it gift wrapped and, voila! Off they go. Mission accomplished.

First birthdays can be tricky because so many toys are out of bounds for that age. There’s always the option of buying a gift that’s suitable for the baby when they’re 18 months old as there are more options and these toys look great on the shelf, especially the wooden toys.

I’m excited about the new range of meal time pieces at The EC! I don’t do a lot of ‘branding’ ranges but there are a few that are absolute must haves for me. Gaspard and Lisa now join Elmer and Maisy on the shelves. Can you blame me?

“Who are these two cute characters?” you ask. Best buds, of course! Gaspard and Lisa are the best of friends hanging out in Paris learning about life, school, family and friendship. They do everything together and are always there for each other, just the way best puppy friends should be be. And it’s a tv show on the ABC. Cute show!

Pastels are sweet on babies and so is a bit of COLOR! And Zutano definitely does color for babies.
