We’re so lucky to have Oobi Baby clothes in the store in Flinders. It’s just arrived and it’s simply bouncing out the door.
What is it about Oobi that makes people say “Ooooh, gotta have that!”? The bright colors? The unique color combinations? The bounce of the skirts and dresses? The cute factor maybe. Girls love it! I love it!
It’s only available in the shop though so if you want it please take a drive and visit us in Flinders.
Not a bad place to visit! We have a new gourmet chocolate shop – Mornington Peninsula Chocolates – opened up across the road (dangerous but yummy!) and I’m addicted to the coffee from the cafe opposite The Enchanted Child.
Flinders beach is looking the best I’ve ever seen it – crystal clear and sublime. It was so picturesque the other day. Breathtaking! If you ask me, you can’t beat watching kids playing at the beach. It’s the purest form of entertainment, isn’t it?
Not to mention the great collection of gift shops in Flinders! To name just a few: There’s Abfab for fantastic gifts and menswear, Janne of Flinders and Perfino for beautiful ladies’ clothes, Deuxieme Souffle for stunning American designer women’s wear and the Tree with it’s eclectic collection of gifts and clothing.
Cafes galore and the recently renovated Flinders Pub with a brand new bar area and kids playground.
So if you’re looking for a great day out, take a drive! I love it and I’m sure you will too. Look forward to seeing you!

I’m so delighted to welcome RuffleButts to The Enchanted Child’s ever expanding but carefully selected range of children’s clothing designers!
The hunt is always on to find designer labels that fit the ‘enchanting-ness’ of The EC. Being in the shop in Flinders almost every day and living in the semi-rural area of the Mornington Peninsula limits my chances to get out and about and see what’s out there in the world of kids’ fashion. Thank goodness for the internet and the ability to skout around overseas and of course within Australia. It takes time to find the brands that fit and here’s one that I’ve loved for a while now and it’s on the plane and on it’s way to Flinders! The Princess Ratbag ruffled bloomers have gone so well at our shop that I have no doubt these will too. The photos themselves are too cute for words!

Color, style and gorgeousness – that’s what we’re about at The Enchanted Child and I’m loving what’s arrived for summer!
The shop is chockablock full of all kinds of beautiful things to dress the kids in this season.
Princess Rattbag’s pettiskirts are filling the window with gorgeousness and the girls (big and small!) are in heaven! I’m in heaven!!! I’m really a girly girl at heart. These outfits are certainly stopping the passersby. Lot’s of oohs and aahhs! And that makes me smile.
Plus artist Gillian Haig has added her beautiful art work to the shop and it certainly is eye catching. You can see more of her work on her Red Hill Coolstores website.

These kids’ backpacks and luggage by Zebra Crossing are so fabulous! They are the perfect bag for a small child and the perfect size. The animal can be removed from the bag as well and cuddled separately. So soft!
They make the ideal gift for Christmas or birthdays or for any occasion. What a great way for a child to carry around their treasures!

The EC shop in Flinders on the Mornington Peninsula opened November 2008 and it has been filled with bright, colorful and stylish kids’ clothes ever since.
Because of it’s small size I’ve searched high and low for the best way to be able to fit as many children’s clothes in as possible.
At last the wall racks have been installed creating more space.
Shelves, new mannequins and wall decals are on their way plus most of the summer stock, beautiful bling and hair accessories and a logo and therefore new signage – finally!
The labels we carry are among the best – Big by Fiona Scanlan, Chilli Kids, Freshbaked, One Red Fly, Ouch, Run Scotty Run, Sooki Baby, and overseas labels such as Eternal Creation and Krickets + so much more! Where is it all to go?!
If you’re in Flinders drop in and say hi. We’re located right next to the General Store. It’s impossible to get lost! It’s such a great town and such a beautiful area. We’ve got sea change and tree change.

Even though it’s freezing cold and the wind is blowing and the rain is beating down…
